How to get the "Dewy" Makeup Look
To me Dewy Skin = Healthy, Young and Radiant looking
As much as Matte Makeup is a thing, i personally believe Dewy skin is beautiful and more natural. Here are few tips to get a beautiful dewy, glowy make up look
BEFORE APPLYING MAKEUP
-because first of all, we do not want to look like a cake face. All the layers of makeup wont make you look or feel pretty if you dont have good skin to begin with - trust me i've been there - or if u feel hella confident with flakey dry skin - You go girl! you do you! There are days when your sassy AF skin dont obey and thats ok too we've all been there. Hopefuly my next post about MY UPDATED WINTER SKIN CARE ROUTINE will help you get a healthy skin just like it did to me :)
#1.a. Moisturize
-becuase you need to have a good hydrated skin so your make up dosent look flakey - some or most makeup work better on your skin and work well with your skin when you have a good base to begin with (and the better your skin looks, the lesser make up you'll want to wear as you'll want to flaunt your natural skin)
AFTER APPLYING MAKEUP
#2 Fake it
-Highhhhlighterssssss - because dewy skin is soo imporant, Highlighters have become a huge hit now and forever
#2.a. Some makeup setting sprays come in the "DEWY" version - this way it works as 2 in 1 - sets your makeup and gives you the dewy effect - My favorite is the NYX Makeup Setting Spray in Dewy Finish (i do own the Matte finish one too - but my husband made me buy the DEWY FINISH one as he was amazed by how good my skin looked like the second i "trial" sprayed it on at the store - SEE guys digg dewy skin as well)
BEFORE, DURING OR AFTER APPLYING MAKEUP
#3 Hydration on the go
-Mac's Fix+ it up! - dont want to oil up? or afraid of greasing up your skin before make up? - Just finish your makeup and give it a good spray with the Mac's Fix+
- helps avoid the cake face by hydrating the skin without making it look "greasy" - super lightweight - not sure if it 'll give you the dewy effect but helps you not look flakey or caked up at least
